Key Responsibilities Trauma & Emergency Management Provide immediate emergency management for trauma cases entering the 24/7 casualty, including fracture dislocations, open injuries, agricultural trauma, and road traffic accident (RTA) cases. Perform emergency procedures including closed reductions, joint aspiration, compartment syndrome evaluation, wound debridement, splinting, and application of POP casts/slabs. Lead surgical resuscitation and stabilization in coordination with the Emergency, ICU, and Anesthesia teams. Operative & Surgical Duties Perform routine emergency trauma surgeries (K-wiring, external fixation, basic plating, and nailing) independently or under senior guidance. Assist in elective orthopedic procedures, arthroplasty, spine management, and cold orthopedic surgeries. Oversee pre-operative preparation, surgical workups, and post-operative monitoring to ensure smooth recovery protocols. Outpatient & Inpatient Care Conduct daily Orthopedic OPD consultations, managing chronic back pain, osteoarthritis, metabolic bone diseases, pediatric deformities, and soft tissue injuries. Lead daily IPD ward rounds, manage inpatient documentation, monitor wound healing, and direct post-operative rehabilitation and physiotherapy plans. Deliver empathetic care tailored to rural patients, focusing on conservative management where appropriate and guiding rehabilitation in a community setting.
