Role Summary We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Consultant Physician (MD/DNB General Medicine) with strong interest in ICU and Critical Care Management. Operating in a rural periphery setting, this role requires high clinical acumen, leadership in handling acute medical emergencies, and a genuine commitment to serving the high-range rural population where quality healthcare makes a direct, life-saving impact. Key Responsibilities Critical Care & ICU Management: Oversee and direct the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), managing critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring, mechanical ventilation, vasopressor support, and invasive procedures. Formulate and execute daily critical care treatment plans, infection control measures, and patient stabilization protocols. Rapidly evaluate and manage sepsis, acute respiratory failure, cardiac emergencies, diabetic ketoacidosis, and multi-organ dysfunction. Outpatient & Inpatient Care: Conduct daily OPD consultations covering general medical complaints, infectious diseases, and chronic conditions (Diabetology, Hypertension, Cardiovascular & Metabolic disorders). Direct Inpatient Department (IPD) admissions, lead daily clinical rounds, formulate evidence-based treatment regimens, and manage discharge protocols. Provide medical clearances and cross-specialty consultations for surgical, pediatric, and obstetric patients. Emergency Response & Rural Community Impact: Support the 24/7 Emergency Department for acute medical triage, resuscitation, and critical stabilization. Demonstrate strong empathy and patient rapport tailored to the needs of a rural high-range community. Drive patient education on chronic disease prevention, lifestyle modification, and early intervention in a peripheral clinical setting.
