Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Gastroenterology Doctor to diagnose, treat, and manage disorders of the digestive system, including the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders. Conduct patient consultations, examinations, and medical history assessments. Interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and pathology reports. Perform endoscopic procedures such as upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and other specialized interventions. Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress. Manage inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services. Provide preventive care and patient education on digestive health and disease management. Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities. Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and medical staff when required. Ensure adherence to hospital policies, patient safety protocols, and ethical standards. Qualifications MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution. MD/DNB in General Medicine or equivalent. DM/DrNB in Gastroenterology or equivalent specialty qualification. Valid medical license/registration with the relevant medical council (where applicable). Required Skills Strong clinical knowledge of gastrointestinal diseases and treatments. Expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Experience Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Gastroenterology practice (preferred). Experience in advanced endoscopic procedures is an advantage. Working Conditions Hospital, specialty clinic, or healthcare center environment. May require participation in on-call duties, emergency coverage, and weekend shifts.
